Meghan Markle shock: How Prince Harry’s wife could influence the British elections — revealed

However, 33-year old M.P from Halifax Holly Lynch, wrote an open letter for women who work in public institutes.

Holly previously wrote an open letter in defense of Meghan Markle. The open letter was together stood by consignation by 71 other of her female colleagues who are also in public service. She shared to ITV that the wife of Prince Harry reached out to her to extend her thanks.

Holly shared with ITV how Meghan Markle was able to call her personally. She received a phone call from Buckingham Palace and was asked if she was available to speak to the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan Markle was calling Holly to thank her for the raise she and her colleagues made in public. The act of writing an open letter was something Meghan needed, especially when crucial times have been happening between the Royal Family.

Holly also further expressed how important the open letter was to her and to every woman who is working in a public office. She needed to let the duchess know that women in the public office understand where she is coming from, despite having different public roles.

Being a part of the Royal Family, actions like this that need to be thanked for is an expected thing to do. Meghan Markle also loves writing notes and is known to have perfect handwriting. She was once featured in British Vogue when she sent out a note to a bakery.

They talked about how being a woman working in a public role can get very lonely sometimes, and it’s not only the duchess who feels the same way. When women work together, they can be a full workforce, especially when they want to see the changes they want to have. Holly expressed how touched she was to hear it coming from Meghan Markle.

Holly further explained her motivation to write the open letter. It started when she was watching an ITV documentary. She contacted other women in the Parliament to discuss what they saw on TV. She and her colleagues felt that they should intervene in the public to see some of the tones and narratives in the coverage that they think were inappropriate.

Her open letter was not only focused on women empowerment and oppression but also cited bigger issues in the U.K. just like race, gender, and immigration. Holly expressed how newspapers, regardless on paper or online, the angles of the stories that are written about the duchess have been very sexist and have xenophobic undertones — and it was unpleasant to watch on national TV.
