Gunshots were reported at an Edgewater Chipotle in a residential, retail complex, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. Edgewater Police Department responded to a 911 call and located Lil Tjay with several gunshot wounds. Antoine Boyd, 22, was located at a gas station about a mile away from the Chipotle.
He received a single gunshot wound, according to authorities. Mohamed Konate, 27, “attempted to conduct armed robbery” against Tjay and two other people present during the rapper’s performance, according to investigators. Konate was arrested on three charges of attempted murder, three counts of armed robbery, and other weapon-related offenses on June 23.
However, because he was also shot, he was hospitalized until he recovered well and is now incarcerated at the famous Riker’s Island prison.
