There are a lot of features available for iOS 16, and users can already try them out via the beta feature, which is open to everyone during the wait for its public release.

Now, its newest feature for everyone brings an experience that provides a hands-free setup during phone calls, and that is to hang up calls using Siri, Apple’s famous AI assistant.

iOS 16: Use Siri to Hang Up Phone Calls on the iPhone

According to Lifehacker, a new feature for iOS 16 users to enjoy is the “Siri Call Hangup” feature, which is available to all via the beta program. It allows users to end a phone call without having to touch the device’s drop call button, which is typically visible as a large red button at the bottom of the screen.

This feature is available in Apple’s iOS 16 software beta program, but not all devices are eligible to use it.

Furthermore, this feature is not solely for negative purposes. It includes a feature that allows people who are busy doing things like laundry or cooking food to end a phone call with someone they are talking to on their smartphones.

Here’s How to Use Siri and Hang Up Calls

Users must enable Siri on their devices and have it activated and ready to receive commands as soon as their voices are heard.

Users must enable the feature for their access by going to Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Call Hangup.

“Hey Siri, hang up the phone,” are the magic words for Siri’s command. The other person on the line would hear the voice command before Siri dropped it for the user.

iOS 16 and its Features

The world is waiting for iOS 16 to be released, and they expect it any day now, as the new iPhone is expected to arrive in September or October. The new iOS 16 aims to provide the world with new features and functions for the device, but it remains consistent with the existing OS.

Still, there is a lot to enjoy with iOS 16, and Apple has included a lot of new features to enjoy when using the new OS, especially now for all beta users who are a part of it. Several features include photo editings, such as cropping out unwanted elements in the background or selecting subjects, as well as CarPlay features such as contactless refuelling and automatic verification.
