Lindsay Lohan may have stepped away from the spotlight in recent years, but she still keeps her fans up to date on her life via social media. The actress recently shared a sweet photo of herself and her husband as they traveled overseas following their wedding.
The “Mean Girls” star posted a photo of herself and Bader Shammas dining at a restaurant in London, United Kingdom, to her official Instagram account.
The newlyweds are beaming as they sit down for an intimate dinner.
Lohan captioned the photo:
“Home of the queen [UK flag emoji] with my [crown emoji].”
Prior to their trip to the UK, the couple was seen shopping in New York City while in town to visit the 36-year-old actress’ family.
During their visit to the city, they also went to a few restaurants and saw the show “MJ: The Musical Broadway.”
The actress no longer resides in the United States, having relocated to Dubai in recent years.
In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, the “Freaky Friday” actress discussed living abroad.
She clarified that she loves New York, but the Middle East is different because there is a sense of “serenity and peace.”
This is because she is not surrounded by cameras or paparazzi, which allows her to concentrate on what she wants to do in life.
Lohan went on to say that she can have a private and public life when she wants and that she does not have to be “scrutinized” by the public all of the time.
Late last year, the actress and her financier husband got engaged. The couple married earlier this month, and in an Instagram post, Lohan referred to Shammas as her “husband.”
She posted a selfie with them and revealed in the caption that she is the “luckiest woman in the world.”
Lohan went on to say that her husband “found” her and knew right away that she wanted to find happiness and grace.
She added:
“I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. every woman should feel like this everyday.”
In a previous interview with Extra, the actress stated that she is a “low-key” person, implying that her wedding was not as elaborate.
