Olivia Newton-John is rumored to have buried one of her greatest secrets involving her co-star in Grease, John Travolta.

Globe reports that Newton-John privately harbored romantic feelings for Travolta. Due to their various relationships, she never got the opportunity to express her love for the actor.

A source stated:

“The Grease screen sweethearts had the same passion for each other in real life – but the timing was never right.”

Outside of their collaboration, Newton-John and Travolta remained close friends. In fact, the former assisted the latter in navigating his grief following the death of Kelly Preston, his wife.

Travolta was among the first to learn of Newton-breast John’s cancer diagnosis many years ago. In addition, he showed his co-star some affection and encouragement.

There are rumors that Travolta supported Newton-John through all of her divorces and breakups, but they never had the chance to be romantically involved.
