DJ Khaled teased fans about his upcoming album “God Did” earlier this week by posting the album’s cover art on Instagram.

It shows the 46-year-old rapper looking up and crying. In the caption, Khaled explained the significance of the cover art:

“The tear represents tears of joy from God’s blessings. God, I love [you] so much. I’m grateful for anything and everything.”

For the album’s cover art, Khaled enlisted the assistance of Lougè Delcy. With such a genuine and personal message to convey, Khaled enlisted the assistance of Vory.

But one of his collaborators stands out above the rest. In an interview with Billboard, DJ Khaled revealed that he had Jay-Z choose the cover art for him.

The “Staying Alive” producer said:

“I am the biggest JAY-Z fan, and I actually let him pick my album cover. I always give him like two cover options and see which one he would pick, and I did it again on this album.”

He went on to say that not only did Jay-Z choose his cover art, but he also praised Khaled’s work, stating:

“yo this is your best album.”

A giddy Khaled expressed his delight and gratitude by adding:

“Jay-Z, I love you, and you know that.”

The tracklist for the “Every Chance I Get” producer’s thirteenth album is stellar. He shared the tracklist on Twitter and Instagram with the caption:

“The holy scripture. This is a gift to the world. This is a gift to the fans. This is a gift for us. God Did.”

Along with the tracklist, there is a list of “those who believed,” or his album collaborators.

The album includes 18 songs. The album’s opening track, “No Secret,” features Drake. The title track, “God Did,” featured Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, John Legend, and Fridayy.

The third track, “Use This Gospel,” is a remix produced by Dr. Dre and The ICU that features Kanye West and Eminem. The seventh track on the album is the chart-topping single “Staying Alive,” which features Drake and Lil Baby.

The highly anticipated album will be released on August 26, 2022, approximately 11 years after his fifth studio album, “We the Best Forever,” catapulted him to international fame.
