Amy Schumer’s recent lifestyle procedures have been revealed, and her friend Jennifer Lawrence has spoken out about her reaction to the alleged “secret.”
In a recent interview with The New Yorker, the actress-comedian discussed her parenting journey and lifestyle changes. She recalls her friend Jennifer Lawrence, who shared their amusing reaction while discussing her recent social media posts about getting plastic surgery.
Lawrence had said:
“When she got liposuction, I just assumed that would be a secret. And then… it wasn’t! It’s a part of her-I hate using this word-relatability. In some ways, it’s benefitted her. Look at her obviously successful career.”
The 41-year-old actress shared her lifestyle journey of liposuction, acupuncture, and Endometriosis treatment on Instagram. Schumer shared a few photos of herself on the beach, confidently flaunting her body, and expressed how she feels good despite her lifestyle changes in the post.
While her friend Jennifer Lawrence was surprised by the post’s revelations, she praised Schumer for her “relatability,” saying the comedian is always honest and real. During a guest appearance on the “Making Space with Hoda KOTB” podcast, Schumer stated that it was in her nature to be open about her lifestyle changes rather than conceal the costly procedures.
Schumer said:
“I wanted to share it with people, just because I can’t lie about myself. I just can’t do it. I can’t be like, ‘Yeah, crunches. And I’ve just been eating smoked salmon,’ you know? So I had to be real. I just wanted to be honest about it, rather than someone saying, ‘Gosh, she looks like she lost some weight.'”
During the interview, Schumer acknowledged her privilege in being able to afford the expensive treatments, and she admitted that she initially felt sorry for other people. On the other hand, being honest about her journey is her way of accepting her privilege.
Due to painful fertility issues, the “I Feel Pretty” actress removed her uterus and appendix, which she revealed in an Instagram post in 2021.
Amy Schumer and chef Chris Fischer have a son named Gene David Fischer. They’ve been married since February of this year.
