Ashton Kutcher revealed a new milestone after making lifestyle changes in response to a health scare.

Kutcher began training for the TCS New York City Marathon in 2022 and immediately noticed a dramatic improvement.

On Monday, he told Entertainment Tonight that he had already lost 12 pounds after successfully transferring muscle mass from his upper to lower body through workouts. Mila Kunis, his wife, made it possible and easier for him by becoming his support.

Kutcher said:

“Surrounding myself with a support system makes hard things much easier. Setting a pace that you can sustain is not the same as working as hard as you can.”

In recent months, his loved ones have continued to motivate and support the 44-year-old actor.

In addition to the upcoming marathon, Kutcher is preparing to launch his 16-part series, “Our Future Selves.” Kenny Chesney, Natalie Portman, Kim Kardashian, and other celebrities run alongside the actor to learn what motivates them in their personal lives.

The series trailer also features Thomas Rhett, Jon Batiste, Chris Paul, and others who train with him.

Prior to his recent weight loss, Kutcher made public his battle with a rare autoimmune condition.

Vasculitis is a term used by the American College of Rheumatology to describe a group of diseases that cause inflammation of blood vessels. According to NBC News, it could be life-threatening and difficult to diagnose.

Dr. David Goddard, a rheumatologist and clinical professor of medicine at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, says vasculitis can be difficult to treat.

During an episode of National Geographic’s “Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge,” Kutcher revealed his diagnosis. He revealed at the time that the health issue had thrown off his vision and overall equilibrium.

He recovered a year later and expressed how fortunate he was to be alive after surviving it.

He was also admitted to the hospital while working on the “Steve Jobs” biopic after following the late business mogul’s diet. Kunis revealed to “Hot Ones” on First We Feast that her husband was hospitalized twice as a result of the “dumb diet.”

Kutcher reportedly consumed grapes alone while preparing for the role. As a result, he developed pancreatitis twice.

The actor also revealed details to USA Today, stating that he followed a fruitarian diet.
