Alex Rodriguez, the pro-baseball player, subtly revealed his relationship status in a recent Instagram post following his relationship with Kathryne Padgett.
Rodriguez first became involved with supermodel Padgett in January 2022, following his divorce from singer Jennifer Lopez. In a recent Instagram story, the bodybuilder captioned a photo of his meal from the weekend, “Dinner for one… Yankees game.”
Following the Instagram story, a source told Page Six that the professional baseball player had recently “divorced” from Padgett. Nonetheless, they later clarified that the two are still on good terms following their divorce.
The source clarified:
“They’re good friends – they’re just each single. They broke up, but they’re super tight. It’s all good.”
Throughout the timeline of their relationship, the two have been spotted in various outings and have even appeared in numerous high-profile sporting events, such as the NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals in May. In June, the two posted about their vacation in Italy while relaxing on a yacht.
Despite their frequent outings, a source told Page Six in June that the couple were “not serious” and were “just dating” at the time.
The source explained:
“Kathryne’s a great girl, but they’re not serious. They’re just dating. They’re having fun, that’s it. Alex is not exclusive with anyone at the moment.”
Currently, the newly single Rodriguez is said to be having a good time with his family.
Rodriguez was married to Cynthia Scurtis in 2002, with whom he has two daughters, Natasha, 17, and Ella, 13. Scurtis, on the other hand, filed for divorce in June 2008, citing “emotional abandonment” and “marital misconduct” in court documents.
Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were confirmed to be happily dating in March 2017 and were actively posting about their time together on social media. The two announced their engagement in March 2019, but their relationship ended two years later, in March 2021.
Padgett was reportedly the first woman the pro-baseball star publicly dated following his recent split from ex-fiance Jennifer Lopez. As of now, no representatives for the recently divorced Alex Rodriguez and Kathryne Padgett have commented.
