Michael Bublé has been selling records and making music for decades, and his talent and genuine personality have won him many fans. However, he recently stated that he is considering retiring from music; what could be the reason for this?

Speaking on “That Gaby Roslin Podcast,” the Canadian singer admitted that he no longer enjoys making music and is “close” to leaving the industry.

When the show’s host stated that they “both love” what they do in terms of making music, Bublé responded:

“I think I’m not loving it as much as you are.”

He went on to say that he’s “getting close to thinking” about going to “be a dad.”

He is currently married to Luisana Lopilato, the singer of “Haven’t Met You Yet.” They have four children together, the most recent of whom was born last month.

He added:

“I have this picture in my head, of just me in a field with my kids and Ed Sheeran’s kids and we’re just hugging each other and picnicking and getting drunk.”

Bublé also mentioned in the interview that no one in his circle has the same thoughts as him about quitting their jobs to be full-time parents.

Only a few of them, he says, are brave enough to say, “No, I just want to do this.”

His recent interview was not the first time the singer spoke openly about his career’s future, as his outlook shifted after his son Noah was diagnosed with cancer in 2016.

In an interview with USA Today, he stated that he no longer thinks about his career because his family is his top priority.

He later revealed that he was worried about his career before his son’s diagnosis, but he suddenly realized that it doesn’t matter what other people think of him or the numbers of his work.

Bublé said that his son’s illness taught him to appreciate the little things in life and to stop worrying about how many likes he got or how much money he made.

He then mentioned that his family gave him “armor” to live in because, no matter how nice his clothes are, there’s an armor beneath them that his loved ones gave him.

Noah had recovered from his illness years before.
