Even after a reconciliation, Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship may not fully heal.
Despite several chances, the long-running royal feud between Prince William and Prince Harry has yet to be resolved. They met several times after Megxit, including at Prince Philip’s funeral, the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue, and the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
They are said to be on good terms after King Charles III was crowned, but a royal commentator revealed that the Prince of Wales could not completely forgive his brother.
Katie Nicholl, a royal expert, told Us Weekly that Prince William has been through the worst since Prince Harry left. Worse came to pass when the Duke of Sussex spoke out against the royal family, and he may do so again in his memoir.
She stated:
“[When Harry stepped back from his royal duties], it was very difficult for William, and I think that’s partly why this rift hasn’t been resolved, because, you know, William can’t completely forgive Harry for what he’s done.”
The departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as senior royal members in 2020 is said to have had a significant impact on Prince William’s family. According to Nicholl, Prince Harry’s departure thrust Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, into the spotlight “far sooner” than expected.
Instead of receiving encouragement from his brother, Prince William received nothing but criticism.
As the heir to the throne, his brother treated the royal family and Queen Elizabeth II disdainfully.
Not only has Prince William begun to abandon Prince Harry, but King Charles III is now willing to end his son’s royal career for good due to the memoir.
According to Radar Online, the Duke of Sussex must decide whether to cancel the release of his $20 million memoir or accept the fact that he will be estranged from the royal family for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, his next moves may result in his permanent exile.
King Charles III remains hopeful for reconciliation but also carries out his duties as monarch. This includes severe crisis management once Prince Harry’s tell-all book reveals the royal family’s secrets.
Unfortunately, Prince Harry cannot cancel the book because he must return the payment to the publisher and settle the get-out clause.
