The NRJ Hit Music Only Awards have nominated Britney Spears and Elton John for best collaboration.

Britney has been taking the world by storm in her unique way since her release. She took to Twitter late last night to announce that she and musical legend Sir Elton John had been nominated for Best Collaboration at the prestigious NRJ HIt Music Only Awards. Hold Me Closer is the collaboration that has been nominated. The song was first released as a single in August of this year. Tiny Dancer is a remix reimagination of Elton John’s original song. This new adaptation is iconic and deserves to be nominated.

This isn’t the only reason the Twittersphere is again focused on Britney Spears. Shortly after sharing the exciting news of her nomination, the star took to Twitter and shared a naked photo of herself sprawled out on her bed.

The text read:

“I have a premiere for this week ‘THE LEGISLATIVE ACT OF MY P***Y'”

Once again, the world of Twitter has found itself bandying about commentary on Spear’s decisions. As those defending her correctly point out, what Spears does is no different. She is an independent and powerful woman. They attempt to convey to the world that the media sexualized Spears for many years. They beg the question, then, of why everyone is so upset when she chooses to do so on her own accord.

We wish Britney Spears and Elton John the best of luck in their competition.
