During his interview with The Breakfast Club, Ed Sheeran shared some exciting news with his fans: the elusive singer-songwriter is working on a documentary!

Said the 31-year-old:

“We are shooting a documentary at the minute around my life and there was a big conversation about what do we include.”

While that much has been revealed, he did not go into detail about the documentary’s theme, indicating that they have not yet decided on that aspect.

He continued:

“As long as it’s honest and it links in with a theme of something that’s in a song – there is no point in putting something in if it’s detrimental to my life.”

While some may believe Sheeran is as boring as they come, he has been busy lately, especially with his growing family of four and his ongoing tour, which will reportedly last until 2026.

However, he mentioned in his interview that he juggles his celebrity status and being a father and husband.

He said:

“It is a very fine line, it is why I live in Suffolk and not in LA. My life as a celebrity is turned on when I am in New York, but at home, I am a friend, a dad, a husband, a son. You can’t bring celebrity baggage to home.”

Sheeran is known for singing songs about his personal life, though not much has been seen in the news recently, save for his attempt at early retirement in 2019.

He took a long break from the spotlight following the birth of his first daughter, Lyra, with his wife, Cherry Seaborn, in September 2019.

He revealed to SiriusXM:

“I stopped playing music for a bit. And music is entirely me as a person. Then I had my daughter and I was like: ‘Right, that’s it. This is me. I am probably just going to be a dad. I am not going to play music anymore.'”

However, he decided against it and slowly returned to the music scene in 2021 with “Bad Habits.” Jupiter, his second daughter, was born in 2022 to him and Seaborn.

Perhaps Sheeran has finally found a way to balance his celebrity and personal life now that he has added another project to his plate.

There is no release date or title for the documentary as of this writing.
