She is the consummate professional, captivating audiences with her enviable dance moves and soaring vocals. Katy Perry’s fans, on the other hand, were quick to point out that the normally well-oiled machine had a “glitch” on Monday night when her eyelid appeared to become caught during her Las Vegas residency.

The 38-year-old singer could be seen straining to open one of her eyelids throughout the performance in TikTok footage, prompting several fans to joke that she had a “mechanical problem.”

The Roar hitmaker resumed her act after regaining the ability to open her right eye. The incident, captured on video by an audience member and shared on social media, sparked a flurry of jokes from Katy Perry’s fans that she had experienced some technical malfunction.

However, one wise user speculated that it could have been caused by Katy’s artificial eyelashes getting stuck to the bottom of her eye.

e person joked:

“Clone failure.”

The individual also stated that the next time, management should ensure that all software is updated and any necessary patches are applied.

Another user commented:

“She was downloading the song.”

A third person stated that the “robot” is broken.

One fan explained:

“Lol it’s her eyelash glue sticking to her lower eyelid, it happens to me all the time.”

Katy Perry’s Play residency in Las Vegas began in December 2021, and the “very camp” show, in which Perry emerges from a large toilet and converses with a talking mask, received immediate positive feedback.

Katy Perry balances being a mother and a huge musician very well. Katy Perry recently shared a humorous story about being mistaken for herself while attending mother and baby classes with her child.

The 38-year-old singer, who has a two-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with fiance Orlando Bloom, said other mothers in the group said she ‘looks exactly like Katy Perry.’ The hitmaker told The Cut on Monday that she is frequently recognized but is usually “far gone” by the time people realize it.

Perry is an expert impersonator when she knows her audience believes she is someone else. Katy was ‘broke’ when she first moved to Los Angeles 18 years ago and pretended to be Zooey Deschanel to make ends meet.

Long-standing physical similarities have been drawn between the singer and the actress, with Perry revealing she had no trouble convincing people she was Zooey to gain access to exclusive clubs.

Zooey recently appeared in Katy Perry’s music video for “Not The End Of The World,” in which she is abducted by aliens who mistake her for Katy Perry due to their resemblance.
