Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are preparing for their musical Christmas film, and we are ecstatic!

Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are both known for their sense of humor. Reynolds is known for his sarcasm and whimsy and has never shied away from committing to the part. Will Ferrell, an alum of Saturday Night Live, is also known for fully immersing himself in the joke, making him one of the show’s most well-known alumni. Now, these two hilarious minds are collaborating on a music-filled, historically set Christmas film, which will be hilarious.

Spirited is the title of the film. Reynolds plays the well-known character Scrooge, while Will Ferrell plays the Ghost of Christmas Present. In this version of the classic story, however, the ghost must now investigate the course of his own life.

And, of course, they’re doing it via SONG!

The songs for Spirited were written by Tony Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. While Reynolds and Ferrell are not known to be singers, they have created some of the most memorable Christmas songs. A video was released that provides an exciting first look at the film.
