Mariah Carey is known to be a diva, but during the holiday season, she is accused of being THE ultimate diva.
According to Heat UK, her crew was the first to notice and react to the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” hitmaker’s alleged behavior.
According to one source, despite being a fantastic entertainer, she is quite demanding. Her wish list begins when she wakes up and continues until her head hits the pillow.
They went on to say that the mother of two has bizarre requests while on tour, such as having her favorite champagnes delivered in crystal flutes.
Mariah reportedly wants gourmet chefs to prepare her meals, mineral water, and healthy snacks in her dressing room.
In addition, the room should be completely white.
The “We Belong Together” singer also has an army of personal assistants at her disposal.
“When Mariah chooses to do anything, it’s usually a production, and she’s already driving everyone insane.”
According to the source, Mariah Carey feels extra pressure during the holidays to maintain her reputation as the Queen of Christmas. As a result, she is said to aspire to be a bigger diva than any other singer.
“She puts a lot of pressure on herself to keep up with new artists and imposters competing for her throne.”
According to reports, Mariah Carey has refused to work with her because “all they want for Christmas is for her to calm down and give them a vacation.”
This story, however, should be taken with a grain of salt because there is no evidence that Mariah Carey’s diva behavior worsens during the holiday season.
Nobody criticized the Grammy Award-winning singer’s diva behavior or attitude.
Nobody would want to dethrone Mariah as the ultimate Christmas Queen, so no one would want to take that away from her.
She even tried copyrighting “Queen of Christmas” but was called out by two holiday performers.
In March, the 53-year-old applied with the US Patent and Trademark Office to officially promote herself as the sole “Queen of Christmas.” Still, her claim was challenged by other singers, Elizabeth Chan and Darlene Love, who both claim ties to the moniker.
Elizabeth has recorded numerous Christmas songs throughout her career, while Darlene is known for her work on a holiday album and iconic holiday tunes.
