Kelsea Ballerini has been extremely busy recently. During her set at the Grand Ole Opry, she revealed what she had been up to in the hours leading up to her performance.

She told her fans:

“This is what’s going on, there’s… in my last song [I sing], ‘There’s no judgment or keeping score.’ The truth is that this morning I started my day at the courthouse finalizing my divorce and then getting nominated for a Grammy, and then getting the keys to my dream home, and now standing in the circle of the Opry.”

Fans clapped for her because they knew she had been through a lot in the months since her bitter divorce from Morgan Evans.

She continued jokingly:

“And s**t, if that ain’t country music, I don’t know what is.”

The country singer was at the Grand Ole Opry, where she performed “Heartfirst,” for which she was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Country Solo Performance category.

She once shared in an Instagram post:

“The song about following your heart no matter where it leads just for nominated for a GRAMMY. couldn’t be more cosmic.”

The post included a video of herself cheering after her nomination was announced.

“Here’s to always jumping right in baby with your ‘heartfirst.'”

Ballerini’s success comes months after her heartbreaking divorce from Evans.

According to Us Weekly, their marriage has been falling apart for a long time, and the couple even attempted to save it by going to therapy, but it was futile.

A source told the publication that that couple:

“ultimately decided that they had no choice but to officially separate.”

After filing for divorce in August, news of the couple reaching an agreement surfaced.

Ballerini was overjoyed to receive the keys to her new “dream home” because she and Morgan had decided to “vacate their marital residence” in Nashville.

While her love life may appear bleak now, Ballerini has set her sights on bigger and better things. Her career is thriving, and she is recovering.

She said in an interview with CBS Mornings in October:

“I think when there’s a big life decision like that, it’s not a sudden one. And there’s a lot that happens before that becomes public. So, I’m on my, like, active healing journey.”
