Kim Kardashian posted a cryptic message on Instagram after her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson celebrated his birthday with Emily Ratajkowski.

Friday, the “Kardashians” star used Instagram Stories to share a quote from Idil Ahmed. Seeing “the bigger picture” in difficult times was the message.

The post read, according to a screenshot obtained by Page Six:

“One thing I realized is that everything always ends up working out. Sometimes even better than you can imagine.

The quote continued:

“Remember this when you feel like you’re in a hard place or you feel like you’re being challenged the most. Believe in where you’re headed. See the bigger picture.”

The founder of Skims and the “Saturday Night Live” alum dated for nine months before splitting up in August.

This week, news broke that Davidson has moved on and is now dating Ratajkowski, three months after their split.

On Wednesday, the 29-year-old comedian celebrated his birthday with the model. He drove to her New York City apartment to pick her up but left her alone after Ratajkowski appeared and paparazzi swarmed them, according to Page Six.

Ratajkowski left her location in an Uber, carrying a gift for the birthday boy. They met in a Brooklyn apartment building. Before walking down the dark corridor, she and Davidson were photographed hugging and laughing.

According to Us Weekly, the couple is “in the very early stages,” but “both really like each other.”

According to an unnamed source, Davidson and Ratajkowski have begun:

“casually seeing each other.”

They’ve known each other for years and have spent time together in New York City. They recently reconnected after Davidson texted her about “getting together to catch up,” according to the source.

The comedian and the model have “gone on a few dates” since then, and Ratajkowski finds Davidson “a lot of fun to hang out with,” according to the insider.

According to reports, Davidson and Kardashian called it quits earlier this year due to their demanding schedules and long-distance arrangement, which eventually became more difficult for them as they had different priorities.

An unnamed source close to Kardashian told Page Six:

“Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends. They have a lot of love and respect for each other but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”

Another source told Page Six that their age difference contributed to their split. Kardashian is 13 years her senior, Davidson and has four children with her ex-husband Kanye West: North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.

The insider said:

“Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice. But Kim has four kids, and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”
