The news of Wilde and Styles’ breakup dominated the newsstands over the weekend, with the pair deciding to “take a break.”
According to the Daily Mail UK, the actress was seen in Los Angeles looking “glum” just hours after news of the couple’s split broke.
Wilde was seen walking down the street with a friend, wearing a baseball cap, a t-shirt, jeans, and sunglasses. According to the publication, her attempts to smile for the cameras were “half-hearted.”
The next day, however, was a completely different story. The same publication shared photos of Wilde looking stunning alongside other celebrities at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
Her first red carpet appearance since her breakup, she was all smiles. Her “revenge dress” was a black and white tulle gown with matching black gloves and heels.
Despite what Wilde’s former nanny claimed in an interview with the Daily Mail UK, Wilde and Styles decided to part ways “amicably,” according to People.
A source said to People:
“He’s still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her work in L.A. It’s a very amicable decision.”
Another source stated that the split was caused by Styles’ ongoing tour and Wilde’s motherly duties:
“They’re still very close friends. Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart.”
Wilde’s former nanny, on the other hand, expressed her delight at the recent news.
She told Daily Mail UK:
“That’s what happens when the ugly finally comes out! I am beyond ecstatic that Harry dropped her like a hot potato!”
However, reports state that it is unclear who initiated the breakup or whether it was a mutual decision.
The pair’s tumultuous relationship has recently made headlines, following the release of Wilde’s film “Don’t Worry Darling,” in which Styles starred.
This put a strain on their relationship, according to the source:
