Gwen Stefani is ‘thankful’ for husband Blake Shelton, shares sweet photo of them

On Thanksgiving, Gwen Stefani gushed about her husband Blake Shelton.

On Thanksgiving Day, the No Doubt singer posted an Instagram photo of herself with her country singer husband. The “Voice” coaches smiled at the camera in the black-and-white photograph.

Stefani, 53, wore a camouflage jacket and a cowgirl hat, while Shelton, 46, wore a rugged truckers hat with a button-up shirt.

She wrote in the caption:

“Who am I thankful for this year? Def [sic] this 1 @blakeshelton.”

Her post came after she described Shelton, with whom she married in July of last year, as her “favorite award ever.”

Stefani was honored for her career at this year’s New York Women in Communications’ 52nd Annual Matrix Awards, held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. Her Grammy-nominated husband, who was “very excited” and “extra proud” of his wife, presented it to her on stage.

Stefani said in her acceptance speech after kissing Shelton:

“Obviously, my favorite award ever, Blake Shelton, for marrying me. Wow, this is surreal — weird Blake talking about me like that. Thank you so much, you’re such a babe, and you’re so awesome,”

During an interview with People in June for his “Helmet of Heroes” collaboration with IndyCar driver Jimmie Johnson, the “God Gave Me You” singer expressed similar sentiments about his wife. Stefani was described as a “magical person” by Shelton.

Shelton said:

“I wish everybody could have a chance to meet and talk to Gwen Stefani at some point in their life because you’ll just be a better person for it, is the only way I know to say it. She’s just a magical person to be around. She really is one of a kind and I … That’s another one of those things. How could you even dream that? You know? And it happened.”

On their first wedding anniversary in July, he also posted a sweet tribute to her on social media. He shared an old wedding photo of him staring at her while she grins and touches her face with both hands.

Shelton wrote:

“Happy anniversary to the woman that makes my world go round… [Gwen Stefani], because of you, this year has been the best year of my life. I love you!!!! Thank you for saying yes!”

For her part, Stefani shared footage from their special day with Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love” playing in the background. She wrote in the caption:

“1 year down, forever to go @blakeshelton.”
