Scott Disick focused on moving on despite regrets for the way he treated ex Kourtney Kardashian: report

Scott Disick has chosen to better himself after his ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian found happiness with Travis Barker.

When Kourtney’s relationship with Barker became serious, Disick struggled to accept it. He is reportedly trying to move on and improve himself now that his ex-wife and mother of his three children is married to the Blink-182 drummer, while regretting how he handled their relationship.

A source told Entertainment Tonight:

“Scott will always have regrets about how he treated Kourtney and handled their relationship. He is focusing on moving on, accepting his faults, and trying to learn from his mistakes.”

Mason, 12, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 7, are Disick and Kourtney’s three children. Disick, like his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, is reportedly hoping to get married, but it’s not his top priority right now. He is said to be more self-centered.

The source said:

“He wants to get married one day and start his next chapter, but he isn’t trying to do that right now. The Kardashians still talk to him almost all the time, and they see each other relatively frequently. It isn’t a toxic situation for anyone in the family, and they’ve moved past any difficulties.”

After several rehab stints in the past, an anonymous tipster told Us Weekly that he was committed to “bettering himself.” According to the tip, Disick “has stepped up his treatment and therapy” and is focusing on improving “his mental well-being.” The founder of Talentless is also considering an in-patient program for his substance abuse issues.

The insider said:

“The Kardashians are all very supportive of Scott bettering himself. They love him and want him to love himself just as much.”

From 2006 to 2015, Disick and Kourtney dated on and off. His “breakup and past issues with Kourtney, as well as his parents’ deaths,” an insider previously told the outlet.

Kourtney and Barker married in May. Disick, according to sources, struggled to accept the fact that she was already married.

An insider told Us Weekly:

“His feelings for her haven’t gone away — he’s always going to love her — he’s just having a hard time accepting the fact that she’s married.”

Scott admitted to Kourtney’s sister Khloe Kardashian on an episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians” that his ex and Barker’s relationship strained his relationship with the Kardashians. He admitted that he felt isolated and lonely after his parents died because they were his only family.

He said:

“Feeling left out and not being told anything is super hurtful — especially when I don’t have another family to go to. I [will] rather be around them and be around my family than not at all.”
