LAS VEGAS, NV – OCTOBER 07: Kaya Jones waits to sing “God Bless America” before a game between the San Diego State Aztecs and the UNLV Rebels at Sam Boyd Stadium on October 7, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jones sang the same song at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival as a guest of music duo Big & Rich on Sunday about an hour before a mass shooting at the event. UNLV is holding activities before and during their game to honor first responders and victims of the massacre. On October 1, Stephen Paddock killed at least 58 people and injured more than 450 after he opened fire on a large crowd at the music festival. The massacre is one of the deadliest mass shooting events in U.S. history. UNLV won 41-10. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Kaya Jones reflected on the negative aspects of being a Pussycat Dolls member.

Jones shared more details about her life as a member of Pussycat Dolls and how she now regrets having three abortions in her lifetime after being in the spotlight as a member of the group.

In a video posted on Students for Life’s YouTube channel, the singer elaborated on her life story. The video, titled “Former Pussycat Doll Shares Her Abortion Story,” focused on Jones’ personal and professional life.

The 38-year-old performer began the video by recalling her previous statements about being a Pussycat Dolls member. Her alleged experiences with the group were also compared to Britney Spears’ conservatorship.

Jones emphasized when the “Toxic” singer said her conservatory was like being sex trafficked.

She said:

“It feels like you’re a slave, literally, to your dream. You have no access to personal thoughts, space, choices, decision. You are an owned commodity. What you eat has been decided for you, where you live is gonna be decided for you. Ultimately, you can’t have a child.”

She revealed that she had an epiphany when she noticed two little girls in the audience watching her during the group’s performance. She was reportedly having an abortion at the time. She immediately thought about not having something beautiful about herself as she lived her worst self.

Jones explained how a person can be “sexually overly-perverse” by doing things they dislike. When asked about her abortion, she stated that she felt excruciating pain when she chose to abort her child.

When asked if they would get over it, the singer said it would never happen because it is something that would last for the rest of their lives.

She went into detail about when these abortions occurred, beginning with the first one when she was 16 or 17. Jones reportedly felt desensitized at the time due to the gravity of the procedure. She claimed she was told to “get rid of it” when she found out she was pregnant.

After leaving the group in 2004, the former Pussycat Dolls member became pregnant at the age of 30 after being sexually assaulted by someone she trusted. Stress caused complications, which eventually led to another abortion.

Jones, who has been through a lot, shared how she now views abortion differently and declared that being a mother is the best job a woman could ever have.
