John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have welcomed their fourth child, and they couldn’t be happier, especially after losing their first child two years ago.

Last Friday, the “All Of Me” singer surprised fans at his concert by announcing that his wife had given birth to their “little baby this morning.”

According to People magazine, a source expressed how happy the couple is:

“They both really wanted to add another baby to the family. It’s been a long road.”

Teigen’s pregnancy was announced in August, and despite the happy news, she couldn’t help but think back on her previous pregnancy.

The model wrote in her announcement:

“The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again.”

“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still.”

The couple’s concerns about having a healthy pregnancy stem from the heartbreak of losing their son Jack in 2020.

Teigen wrote in an October 2020 Instagram post:

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”

According to reports, Teigen’s third pregnancy was difficult; she was hospitalized due to excessive placental bleeding and received blood transfusions when she experienced a “huge blood clot.”

Despite their best efforts, they lost their third child, but they persisted. According to reports, Legend and Teigen chose IVF (in vitro fertilization) after losing Jack.

Teigen isn’t new to IVF treatments; in fact, she used them to conceive her first two children, Luna Simone and Miles Theodore.

In fact, Jack was the only one of their children who was conceived naturally.

They even announced Jack’s pregnancy in the singer’s music video “Wild,” which will be released in August 2020.

According to a source, the couple considered Jack a “miracle” and “never thought it would be possible for Chrissy to get pregnant naturally.”

The couple can now breathe a sigh of relief and fully enjoy their time with their fourth child, the name of whom has yet to be revealed to the public.
