Kali Uchis is currently ruling the pop music industry thanks to her distinct sound and the way she expresses herself through fashion. Since the musician has been successful in recent years, many fans are curious as to how much her fortune is worth today.
The pop star’s estimated net worth as of 2023 is $4 million, according to Wealthy Gorilla. Her primary sources of income are music streams, album sales, and tour ticket sales. But it wasn’t always like that for her.
In a previous interview with High Snobiety, the 28-year-old musician revealed that she began making money as a teenager by doing mixtape artworks, music videos, and holding photoshoots for other people.
She wanted to earn money so badly because she wanted to leave her house and “become emancipated.”
She told the outlet:
“I was living out of my car and my friends’ houses while I was finishing high school. I was just trying to make money out of my passions and really stay creative with how I made that money,”
Aside from the jobs listed above, she also did side jobs such as selling clothes out of the trunk of her car. She did everything while working on her own music and poetry because it gave her a creative outlet.
She eventually decided to release her music, and the response from critics was mostly positive, leading her to amass a large following and rise alongside other in-demand artists in the music industry.
In a press release, the musician shared the meaning of her upcoming album, which will be released through her record label, Geffen Records, saying the record is:
“a timeless, burning expression of desire, heartbreak, faith, and honesty, reflecting the divine femininity of the moon and Venus.”
Her next project is expected to focus on the concept of “love” on all levels, from loving people to loving oneself.
Aside from a new album, Kali Uchis will embark on a North American tour beginning in April.
