Harry Styles took home the night’s biggest award, Album of the Year, for his stunning album “Harry’s House.”

The most coveted award of the evening was given last in order to build momentum that would lead to the ultimate recognition from The Recording Academy.

Styles was nominated for seven Grammy Awards in 2023. “As It Was,” his lead single, was nominated for Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video.

“Harry’s House,” on the other hand, was nominated for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical Album, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Album of the Year, all of which he won.

During the ceremony, Grammy host Trevor Noah introduced the audience to a roundtable discussion of fans of all ages, races, and genders about who deserves to win the Album of the Year award.

Harry’s supporter was a breath of fresh air among her usual fan base. Reina, 78, from Canada, was the one who advocated for Harry Styles to win AOTY.

Before announcing the final winner, Noah recognized the ten fans onstage for their unwavering support for the nominated artists. As he announced the winner, Noah walked over to Reina and told her who it was: Harry Styles, “Harry’s House.”

Styles took the stage and delivered an impassioned speech about how winning is a new experience for him. He said:

“I’ve been so, so inspired by every artist in this category with me at a lot of different times in my life. I listen to everyone in this category when I’m alone.”

People on Twitter, however, had different candidates in mind for the award, with Beyonce’s “Renaissance” or Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” being the favorites.

A fan tweeted:

“Y’all begged Beyoncé to come and played in her face!!!!! What Beyoncé did on Renaissance Harry could NEVER!!!!! She gave black LGBTQ+ people a voice and gave us one of the greatest albums of 2022!!!!! b-ch I’m mad.”

Another shared:

“need beyoncé to stop submitting to the grammys altogether bc all they do is use her for views and snub her in every major category.”

Someone tweeted:

“#GRAMMYs of course the Grammys threw bad bunny in for album of the year just to say they respect Latino music, just for them to only give him the one Spanish Grammy and nothing else LMFAO.”

Someone stated:

“I LOVE Harry styles but imma be honest that Grammy did not need to go to him fr like I love tht white man but it should’ve been bad bunny or beyonce.”
