Will The Weeknd be performing at Coachella 2023? The question kept popping up on Twitter as the singer posted some cryptic tweets that both confused (and excited) his fans.

Notably, The Weeknd appeared as a surprise headliner at Coachella 2022 last year, alongside Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.

The Weeknd hinted at something big in the coming days in a flurry of tweets posted last night on his Twitter account.

The Weeknd posted a desert emoji with a question mark in one of his tweets, which many of his fans misinterpreted as an ode to the “desert,” the same location where Coachella is usually held.

The Weeknd then followed up with another cryptic tweet:

“where will you find me?,”

The last one is more suggestive in that the two tweets are linked together – perhaps hinting that he might appear at Coachella this weekend?

A fan pointed out that Metro Boomin would be performing on the 14th and 21st of April, the first days of both weekends. For those unaware, Metro Boomin’ and The Weeknd collaborated on their hit single “Creepin’.”

While nothing has been confirmed, Abel may make a surprise appearance on Metro Boomin’s set.

Surprise guests are common at Coachella. Justin Bieber stunned everyone last year when he appeared on Daniel Ceasar’s set and performed their Grammy-nominated song “Peaches.”

Coachella 2023 will feature Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean as headliners, marking a historic first for Bad Bunny and BLACKPINK, the first Puerto Rican and Korean acts to headline the country’s largest music festival, respectively.

Supposedly, Kanye West, Billie Eilish, and Harry Styles were slated to perform last year. However, West pulled the plug on his last year’s performance at the last minute because of sources undisclosed to the media. Reports say that he still needs to prepare for the said set. When The Weeknd was contacted last minute, he even had to haggle a higher price, saying he would pass if he were not given the same offer as West’s.
