In the middle of talking about the role, Jolie quietly pivoted to something far more personal, appearing to reference the high‑profile split from Pitt that has defined so much of her recent life.
‘To be candid, I haven’t dated since I divorced a decade ago, right?’ she said, describing herself first and foremost as a mother of six. ‘So I kind of get in my head that that aspect of me is not centered in my life if I’m focusing on my children and my family.’
It was a rare, stripped‑back admission from someone who has spent years dodging speculation about secret partners, mystery dinners and imagined reunions. For once, Jolie just said the quiet part out loud.
