Amber Heard is ordered to pay $10.35 million in damages to Johnny Depp after the jury from the Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s $50 million defamation trial ruled that the Aquaman star defamed Johnny when she wrote a Washington Post op-ed in 2018. Though there have been claims that the ex-wife of Johnny Depp has been cut from the imminent sequel, a spokesperson for Amber Heard clarified that she would reprise her role as Mera, Aquaman’s love interest, in the upcoming movie titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

On the hook to Johnny Depp for $8.3 million, Amber Heard allegedly would not be able to pay the Black Mass actor, her legal fees or even support herself with the proceeds from a reported tell-all book deal she just signed. An unidentified insider claimed:
“Her book deal should fetch a couple of million at the very least, and there are various one-off commercial partnerships in the works, but it’s a drop in the ocean compared to how much she needs to raise.”
Attorney Elaine Bredehoft, Amber Heard’s lawyer, was reportedly asked if her client was ready to cough up the dough during a recent episode of Today. She allegedly answered: “Oh, absolutely not!”

“Besides Johnny’s huge $10 million payment, she has legal bills and living expenses coming out of her ears. She’s burned through her checking and savings accounts and is hardly likely to convince banks she’s capable of repaying a loan.”
It furthered that Amber Heard is used to “lavish spending” but now “has to shop at discount stores like TJ Maxx.” The same informant also shared:
“That leaves her dependent on the goodwill of her filthy rich pals, those that are left anyway. And these guys didn’t get rich by being charitable. She’s also reaching out to other friends both in the U.S. and abroad. Amber realizes she’s going to have to beg and grovel.”

Amber Heard Calls For Mistrial In Johnny Depp Case Over Alleged Juror Mix-Up

The legal team of Amber Heard claims that a 77-year-old Virginia native was summoned for jury duty but that a 52-year-old with the same last name and address showed up in court instead.
The legal documents obtained by Deadline reportedly read:
“Thus, the 52-year-old [redacted] sitting on the jury for six weeks was never summoned for jury duty on April 11 and did not ‘appear in the list,’ as required. It is deeply troubling for an individual not summoned for jury duty nonetheless to appear for jury duty and serve on a jury, especially in a case such as this.”
The lawyers of Amber Heard said their client was not given a “fair trial,” and her right to due process was violated because of the alleged mix-up.

The team added:
“Ms. Heard had a right to rely on the basic protection, as prescribed by the Virginia Code, that the jurors in this trial would be individuals who were actually summoned for jury duty.”
Amber Heard and her legal team, given this, argued that the judge should declare a mistrial and order a new trial. Johnny Depp, for his part, has yet to comment on the new filing.
