Cameron Diaz is slowly returning to the spotlight after announcing her upcoming film a few months ago, and she recently celebrated her 50th birthday alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

According to E! Online, the “Charlie’s Angels” actress celebrated her special day at the celebrity-famous restaurant Nobu Malibu.

Aside from her husband, Benji Madden, Nicole Richie and her brother-in-law were also seen celebrating the special occasion.

Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann were seen leaving the venue after the intimate sushi dinner.

Music aristocracy Adele, who was dressed elegantly in black, made a low-key entrance into the restaurant while hiding from photographers with an umbrella.

Other celebrities seen leaving the venue included Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego.

Cameron Diaz is ready to return to the big screen after an eight-year hiatus following the announcement that she would be coming out of retirement.

According to reports, the “Bad Teacher” star will collaborate with Jamie Foxx on a Netflix film titled “Back in Action.”

The two Hollywood stars have previously worked together in films such as 1999’s “Any Given Sunday” and her final film before retiring, “Annie,” in 2014.

Foxx posted a voice recording of his conversation with the actress to his official Twitter account.

Diaz initially stated that she was “anxious” because she didn’t know how to un-retire.

The actor sought advice from his good friend Tom Brady, who famously retired this year only to return to the NFL after 40 days.

The football star said:

“I was talking to Jamie and he said you needed a few tips on how to un-retire, I’m relatively successful at un-retiring.”

Seth Gordon will direct the film, which is based on a script he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien.

Foxx, Mark McNair, O’Brien, and Datari Turner serve as executive producers, while Beau Bauman and Gordon serve as producers.

Diaz said in an interview with CBS News that acting “consumed” her life for so long that it feels good to step back “for a second.”
