Due to the allegations made behind closed doors, the cast of “Don’t Worry Darling” has taken the internet by storm. However, another event went viral after fans claimed that lead singer Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine. The latter’s team finally broke their silence today to reveal the truth.
According to the actor’s representatives, the “As It Was” singer did not spit on him, and the video resulted from “an odd online illusion.”
They said that the short clip leads to “foolish speculation” among fans.
They said:
“there is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
As of this writing, Harry Styles’ team has yet to respond to the situation.
The video went viral on Twitter after a user claimed that the singer spat on the actor as he returned to his seat at this year’s Venice International Film Festival, where their film premiered.
When Styles was about to sit down, his lips puckered, and Pine looked down, giving the impression that the former spit on his seat.
The short clip went viral online, sparking a heated debate between the two stars’ fans, with many claiming that the singer would never do such a thing.
A body language expert told the Daily Mail UK that the video was “misleading.”
If the spit was true, Pine must be a “master of self control,” as he did not have a “spontaneous reaction of anger and shock.”
Aside from the viral video, there have been rumors about the film. Shia LaBeouf was the first actor to play Harry Styles’ character, according to Olivia Wilde, but he was fired due to his attitude on set.
She stated that his process was “not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions,” and she desired a safe space for people to do their best work within her set.
The actor, however, refuted the claims by providing evidence to the outlet, claiming that the director continued to contact him and insisted that he was the one who quit.
