Many fans have wondered about Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s marriage since the former was photographed sitting on a curb after a date night last week. The model broke her silence today to reveal what happened that evening.
A photo of the chef circulated online earlier this week, showing him sitting outside Cecconi’s, a celebrity-favorite restaurant in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.
The couple reportedly dined at the Italian restaurant before Beckham was seen leaving alone.
Today, the 27-year-old model shared a photo of herself standing on a street during their date night on her official Instagram account.
She explained the situation, insisting that her husband did not abandon her at the restaurant and that she exited a different door to avoid the paparazzi.
She has written (via OK! Magazine):
“When you exit out the alley to avoid the paps and do it well enough that they think @brooklynpeltzbeckham left alone.”
Her photographer husband re-posted the photo on his Instagram account as well.
The couple has been married for five months, but their relationship has been a source of contention and speculation about what goes on behind closed doors.
Many sources claim Peltz does not get along with her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham.
It all started when she chose a Valentino Haute Couture wedding gown over an outfit designed by the Spice Girls member.
A source revealed:
“Victoria and Nicola just don’t always get on as well as everyone may think. As time has gone on I think they’ve realised they don’t really click.”
The model has denied any feud between her and the singer, claiming that she wanted to wear one of her husband’s mother’s creations, but they only had a “few months down the line,” and her fashion house couldn’t finish the dress on time, prompting her to choose Valentino.
The controversy erupted even further when the fashion designer allegedly did not invite her daughter-in-law to her fashion show during this season’s Paris Fashion Week.
According to a “family friend,” Victoria never personally called the couple to invite them to the fashion show, and they only learned about it through Women’s Wear Daily.
According to the source, the fashion show is a “family affair,” and the couple was surprised they were not invited.
