For various reasons, Britney Spears and the British royal family have recently been in the news.
As the royal family mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the pop princess is making headlines for her strained relationship with her children, Jayden and Preston.
The “Toxic” singer claims that her troubled relationship with her sons, whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, has killed some of her.
She stated over the weekend in a series of audio snippets posted on her Instagram account that she no longer had a purpose because her two boys were her “joy” and “everything.”
Britney also said she looked forward to seeing and living with her 16-year-old and 15-year-old sons.
“Then all of a sudden, they were gone.”
The “Womanizer” singer also stated that she used to have her children far more than her ex, claiming that she had them “70% of the time.”
“I don’t understand how it’s so easy for them, just to cut me off like that. I don’t understand it.”
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, aged 96.
The monarch was already showing signs of illness. It is currently unknown what killed her.
Britney Spears almost dated Prince William 20 years ago, which brings these two disparate parties together.
According to the Mirror UK, Britney spoke about her feelings for the now-Prince of Wales, who hadn’t met Kate Middleton at the time, in a 2002 interview.
During that interview, the “Crossroads” actress told Frank Skinner that she was emailing Prince William and had even invited him to dinner.
Britney, on the other hand, never received a response from him.
The blonde beauty had hoped to meet the future King while touring the United Kingdom to promote her song “Overprotected,” but this did not happen.
At the time, Prince William was 19 and had swooned Britney, 20, but a few text messages didn’t go far.
The “Oops I Did It Again” singer stated:
“We exchanged emails for a little bit and he was supposed to come and see me somewhere but it didn’t work out.”
The host reiterated:
“You were blown out by Prince William?”
The singer-actress said:
“Yeah.”
Things began to slow down just as they were about to begin.
However, Britney said that the whole thing was exaggerated because she was dating Justin Timberlake at the time, and a year later, Prince William met his now-wife Kate Middleton.
