Blake Shelton has been performing at the Grand Ole Opry for many years, but this is the first time he has brought his wife, Gwen Stefani, on stage with him. The couple performed together, and the latter received much attention throughout the evening; how did her husband react?

According to People Magazine, the two performed “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You.”

Between songs, the “Cool” singer expressed her appreciation to the audience, saying she was nervous and excited simultaneously.

She added:

“This is one of those things that you don’t dream about if you’re me – and then all of a sudden I’m here with Blake Shelton.”

She said performing on the legendary stage was a “miracle” for her.

Stefani later received a major honor after performing each song, as the entire audience gave her a standing ovation, prompting her husband to express his joy online.

Shelton posted a video from the audience area to his official Instagram account, where the audience gave his wife a standing ovation.

He reacted:

“I am absolutely beside myself right now.”

The country singer said seeing the crowd cheer for his significant other was an “incredible moment to witness.”

The pop star’s recent performance was her first in-person appearance at the event, having previously performed virtually during the first few months of the pandemic.

Aside from performing, it appears that the event served as a small reunion for the two coaches as well as former “The Voice” contestants Wendy Moten of season 21, Jake Hoot of season 17, and Todd Tilgham of season 18.

The recent occurrence follows their first wedding anniversary in July. The couple sent each other individual greetings on social media.

The “What You Waiting For?” hitmaker shared a video of their wedding day, complete with the background song “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

On the other hand, Shelton shared a photo of them, wishing his wife a happy anniversary and claiming that 2022 has been “the best year” of his life because of her.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will return to the reality singing competition “The Voice” for its 22nd season on September 19.
