Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s lawyer, is rumored to be Kanye West’s new attorney.

TMZ reports that the 45-year-old hired the celebrity lawyer through her company, Brown Rudnick. This comes after the “Donda” rapper received widespread condemnation for a string of anti-Semitic remarks made online and in interviews.

However, Kanye’s hiring of Camille has not gone down well with the latter, with social media users criticizing her for agreeing to represent him.

Kanye West is well-known for publicly criticizing his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and aggressively harassing her online, including her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson.

When word spread that Camille was representing Kanye, one fan wrote:

“It’s giving choose me for abusive and problematic men.”

Camille also stood up for Johnny Depp in his high-profile defamation suit against ex-wife Amber Heard, who claimed they were both defamed.

The actor from “Pirates of the Caribbean” won the trial and was awarded $10 million in damages, but the actress from “Aquaman” only received $2 million.

Camille stood out throughout the trial, leading many fans to speculate that she and Johnny Depp had secretly begun dating. Finally, it was determined that they were not romantically involved.

Another observed of Camille:

“She has a certain sort of client.”

Another claimed:

“She truly enjoys defending abusive men.”

An individual predicted:

“She’ll be Trump’s lawyer before you know it.”

Fans are perplexed as to why Kanye West chose Camille Vasquez in the first place.

Fans believe Camille will stand up for Kanye in his divorce proceedings with Kim Kardashian, as well as in a future fight against Gap or Balenciaga, after the latter ended their relationship with him.

Camille will instead be part of a legal team defending his businesses, including work related to his contract and transactions, according to TMZ.

Balenciaga, the fashion label, announced that it was cutting ties with the “All of the Lights” rapper before this news about his new lawyer broke.

The brand’s parent company, Kering, told Women’s Wear Daily on Friday:

“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any intentions for future initiatives associated to this artist.”

Aside from being fired by the high-end fashion industry, the revelation comes after a series of outbursts from the “Eazy” hitmaker, which appears to have started with him wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt during Paris Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, Balenciaga will continue to work on the rapper with Kim Kardashian.

According to The Sun, the “Life of Pablo” hitmaker is “hurt” by this because he is trying to establish himself as a fashion figure and has a close group of friends.

“His involvement with Balenciaga has significantly benefited the brand, but they have opted not to collaborate with him in the foreseeable future.”
