Kodak Black has sparked outrage on the internet after posting what appeared to be date night photos with his new boo.
As he began dating R&B superstar Monica, the Florida native appeared to have developed a taste for older women.
Photos of the two have been circulating online recently, mostly as screenshots from Monica’s Instagram stories.
Monica captioned a photo of herself riding a Mayback in her first story:
“On a date kinda nervous.”
A few hours later, Monica shocked everyone by posting a photo of herself with the 25-year-old Kodak Black, flaunting his cash and thanking the rapper for what appeared to be a successful date.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, this scenario culminated in the two’s previous encounters.
The birthday post appears to have only fanned the flames that had already been lit between the two. This month, the “Super Gremlins” rapper shared a video of himself in the car with Monica, cruising and jamming to Kali Uchis and Daniel Ceasar’s hit “Get You.” He even drove up to one of Monica’s concerts and presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
Netizens reacted quickly to the alleged relationship between Kodak Black and Monica.
Many people have pointed out the two’s large age difference. Monica is 42 years old, while Kodak is only 25 years old, resulting in a 17-year age difference.
A user posted:
“I honestly thought Kanye was having the worst midlife crisis of all time, but Monica dating Kodak is straitjacket worthy.”
Another commented:
“Monica is 42 & Kodak is 25 If they are actually dating then why isn’t she being called a creep, weirdo or groomer? If it was reversed, the amount of think pieces criticizing an older man for dating a woman 17 years younger than him would be insane.”
Another expressed:
“I thought Kodak was just checkin in w/ Monica like all the rappers, drug dealers & killers do when they visit ATL. Ain’t no fkn way they an item, nah.”
Monica already has three children, the oldest of whom is the same age as her rumored new boyfriend, Kodak Black.
As of this writing, neither of them had confirmed or denied that they were dating.
