The Music Man’s Broadway closing date has been officially postponed.

There will be a little less drama in River City. The Music Man, a popular Broadway show, has been running for several months. The production has been running at the historic Winter Garden Theatre. Both stage veterans, Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, play the lead roles in the revival.

For those unfamiliar with the Broadway classic, The Music Man tells the story of a con artist who comes to a new town to perform a new con and falls head over heels in love with a law-abiding citizen while there.

The show debuted on February 10th of this year. Despite a series of setbacks due to Covid-19, the production has persevered. It has been well received by large audiences and provides much-needed Broadway nostalgia to theatergoers worldwide.

Originally, the show was scheduled to close on the first of the year. However, it has now been announced that the show will be renewed for the first few weeks of 2023. The Music Man is scheduled to close on January 15, 2023. With this new date, the show’s Broadway run will have lasted five days over eleven months.

Make sure to see The Music Man before the curtain falls.
