Gerard Pique has stated that he is “very happy” given the major events in his life, including the end of his marriage to Shakira and his retirement from the sport he played. Is this an insult to Shakira and their relationship?!

The former Barcelona defender stated that he does not care how others perceive him publicly. After the two of them split up a year ago, the Colombian beauty, his ex-girlfriend, has been dissing both the 36-year-old and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia, in diss songs.

Shakira attacked the new couple in a hit song she recorded with Argentine DJ Bizarrap and released earlier this year, comparing Clara Chia to a Casio and herself to a Rolex.

She performed the song on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show a week ago. During the performance, she discussed her divorce from Pique and raised eyebrows when she revealed that her two children with the retired footballer were in the studio audience.

In a recent weekend interview, the former Spain international refused to answer a question about Shakira for the second time in less than a week, repeating an answer he gave last Tuesday on a Spanish radio station by stating that he “didn’t feel like it.”

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais, he stated that every parent is responsible for doing their best for their children. That is a responsibility that every parent has toward their children. It is about ensuring their safety.

Insisting that he was doing “what he desired,” he wants to be honest with himself. It is not worthwhile for him to invest money in repairing his reputation. People who are familiar with him are the people he cherishes and adores. He is completely unconcerned about others.

Meanwhile, Gerard Pique’s mother, Montserrat Bernabeu, allegedly knew about his affair with Clara Chia Marti while he was still married to Shakira. According to a Spanish media outlet, the former Barcelona player and the 23-year-old public relations student lived in one of his parents’ homes, which Montserrat kept hidden from the Waka Waka singer.

According to Laura Fa, a journalist, this is because when Piqué and Clara Cha’s relationship began, they sought refuge at a home owned by Piqué’s parents in Cabrils, Spain. It comes after it was revealed that, following their divorce, Shakira built a wall between her and Gerard’s parents’ home, directly adjacent to her home in Spain.
