Stormzy exemplifies how celebrities can be starstruck by other celebrities.

The 29-year-old rapper attended the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday, where Taylor Swift took home four awards.

The “Midnights” singer was named Best Artist, Best Video, and Best Pop. She also won Best Longform Video for her ten-minute performance of “All Too Well.”

Stormzy revealed to his 3.2 million Instagram Story followers that he was dying for a backstage selfie with the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer.

After his stage performance, he began a video with a drink and told his followers:

“Man’s trying to get a selfie with Taylor Swift.”

The “Hit and Run” rapper even said:

“I’m looking for Taylor Swift. Taylor where are you? I want a selfie, Taylor. I’m trying to get a selfie with Taylor Swift. Man’s running around.”

The rapper uploads another video informing fans that he is about to meet her. He even tried to keep his joy to himself.

Stormzy then tweeted a photo of himself and Taylor drinking wine while smiling at the camera. He then shared a single photo with the caption:

“So thrilled.”

The internet couldn’t get enough of this adorable meeting. One user wrote:

“This is so wholesome!”

Another user on Twitter even stated, “[Stormzy] represents all of us,” with a crying face emoji.

A third individual remarked:

“NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS. Congratulations, @stormzy, on your selfie with @taylorswift13! I’m next!”

Another fan said Stormzy is one of the few artists who “keep it genuine” with musicians he admires.

“He enjoys himself and does not attempt to fit into a single category. He adores Adele (references her frequently), and you can see how excited he was to meet Taylor Swift tonight. This dude is living the dream! “

It’s not the first time the rapper has shown off his fanboy side. Stormzy interrupted Billie Eilish’s BRIT Awards backstage interview in 2020 to express his admiration for the “Bad Guy” hitmaker.

Billie, stunned, could then be heard saying:

“You are the f—–g greatest. You’re so, she’s so f——g… it’s dumb. What the hell? What the hell?”

They later became friends, and in an interview with i-D Magazine, they discussed failure, rejecting the “role model” label, and other topics.
