Sinbad, the comedian-musician, has revealed his current health status two years after suffering a stroke.

Sinbad entertained his audience for decades by delivering hilarious tirades during his shows. Aside from being a comedian, he became well-known for his ability to play instruments such as drums and percussion.

When he collaborates with musicians, he goes by the moniker “Memphis Red,” which he previously used with Dawnn Lewis and Journell Henry.

His family revealed that the 66-year-old is now recovering after years of staying out of the spotlight following a stroke.

Sinbad’s family revealed on the website they created after he was diagnosed with this health problem that the comedian-singer beat the odds and has made significant progress since then. They also posted a photo of him learning to walk again with a touching caption.

They said:

“Sinbad appreciates all the love and support you have shown him over the last two years. Many of you have asked for updates and if there is anything Sinbad needs or what you can do to help.”

Sinbad’s loved ones have also noticed that his “dead limbs” are reviving.

Sinbad’s family confirmed that he had a stroke in 2020. Although he began his recovery journey, no one expected it to be this long.

According to reports, he suffered an ischemic stroke after a blood clot traveled from his heart to his brain. According to the American Stroke Association, ischemic stroke occurs when there is an obstruction. It is also responsible for 87 percent of strokes.

Despite a “very promising” prognosis, Sinbad developed another blood clot the next day. It forced him to have another surgery, but his brain began to swell again, and bleeding occurred.

His doctors then put him in a medically induced coma and put him on a ventilator to ensure his recovery.

At the time, his family estimated that he would take weeks to regain basic mobility.

Fortunately, he survived all of them but still requires ongoing treatment. They request assistance in paying for his treatment because his insurance does not cover the cost of his care.
