Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde called it quits after a two-year relationship last week, and while there are claims that their split was amicable, there is another side to the story.
After making the difficult decision to take a break, the director of “Don’t Worry, Darling” is said to be “disappointed.”
The former couple, who met on the set of their film and began dating, ended their relationship when it became clear that their priorities were not aligned.
According to a People source, the divorce was difficult, especially for the 38-year-old former “House” actress, who wanted to “work through” all the difficulties she and the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter faced.v
“The break has been difficult for Olivia. They have had some issues, but Olivia thought they were gonna work through it all.”
They added:
“She is disappointed. But it’s just a hard issue.”
According to sources, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde’s priorities aren’t aligned because the former One Direction member is traveling abroad for his “Love on Tour” tour. At the same time, the latter is focused on her two children with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis.
When their recent relationship status was made public, it was also stated that they have no “bad blood,” with another source adding that it was the best option for both of them.
They clarified that Harry did not dump Olivia and that this was the relationship of the 28-year-old British singer-songwriter, indicating that “obviously they have a strong connection.”
According to the insider, it’s nearly impossible to keep a relationship going when he’ll be on every continent next year, and Olivia has other obligations.
They said to Page Six:
“This is the best thing for them both.”
