Valerie Bertinelli is relieved to be divorced from ex-husband Tom Vitale.

Bertinelli was ecstatic when her divorce from Vitale was finalized. In a video she posted on Twitter, she expressed her delight that their papers had been signed and would soon be filed.

She whispered into the phone:

“I’m at the airport. About to go see Wolfie. And my lawyer just called. The papers are all signed. They’re about to be filed. On 11/22/22 I am officially f—ing divorced.”

She added, giggling:

“I am happily divorced. God, finally, it’s finally over. Yes!”

In May, Bertinelli, 62, divorced her second husband, financial planner Vitale. Their romance began in 2004. After seven years of dating, they married on New Year’s Day in 2011.

She filed for legal separation in November 2021 and has been open about their turbulent relationship. She admitted to having “trust issues.”

On “Today,” she said about her dating future, according to Fox News Digital:

“I can’t imagine ever trusting anyone again to let into my life. So I have some trust issues that I’m sure I’m going to have to get past.”

She took to Instagram in September to share photos of items from her wedding with Vitale that she was getting rid of. There were Jimmy Choo heels and Tiffany & Co. rings among them.

She wrote in the caption:

“Dropped a few things off with @therealreal. A couple of Tiffany rings that have some bad memories attached and a pair of shoes I wore to a wedding in January 2011. They should be up in a couple of weeks!”

Bertinelli previously married Eddie Van Halen, the late rocker, from 1981 to 2007. They divorced in 2001, however. Wolfgang “Wolfie” Van Halen was their son.

In his new memoir “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” Matthew Perry discusses his makeout session with Bertinelli. According to Perry, he had “elaborate fantasies about her leaving Eddie Van Halen and living out the rest of her days.” They had “a long, elaborate makeout session” when Van Halen was too drunk and “passed out not 10 feet away.”

Bertinelli appeared to respond by posting a TikTok video set to Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero.” While the song played, she waved at the camera and smiled “It’s me. Hi, I’m the problem.”

She asked the netizens in the caption:

“Anyone else misbehave[d] in their 20’s and early 30’s? Are you mortified?”

Several people responded, saying they could relate to her but were glad cameras weren’t as prevalent back then.
