At an event Thursday night, Jennifer Garner and her daughter Violet had a twinning moment.
The mother and daughter wore matching black gowns to the White House state dinner.
Violet, who turned 17 on the same day, wore a heart-printed Carolina Herrera dress in the photos obtained by Page Six. She accessorized her gown with a matching black clutch and red Stuart Weitzman heels. The adolescent wore her hair in a slick bun
The “13 Going on 30” star wore a sequined black Ralph Lauren gown and Stuart Weitzman platforms. Garner wore her hair in soft waves.
At the star-studded event in Washington, D.C., the mother-daughter duo was photographed holding hands and smiling.
Fans praised the couple on social media, with many saying Violet resembled her mother.
One commented on a snap of Ben Affleck’s ex-wife and their eldest daughter:
“Spitting image.”
Another user wrote alongside a throwback photo of the “Yes Day” star:

Violet’s resemblance to her mother was not the first time social media users noticed it.
Fans mistook the teen for the “Alias” star in photos of Affleck, his new wife, and Violet’s outing in August, just days before her father married Jennifer Lopez for the second time in his estate in Georgia.

An unnamed source told Us Weekly:
“Now that Jen and Jen have been co-parenting, they’ve been getting to know each other better and have formed a very new friendship.”
According to the source, Garner “can’t believe how sweet” Lopez is to her three children with Affleck.
