A royal expert claims Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “envious” of Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Last week, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony in Boston, Massachusetts. On the final day of their trip to the United States, Prince William met with President Joe Biden, as well as the late John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy’s daughter, Caroline Kennedy, who is also the United States’ ambassador to Australia.

The first trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated docuseries, which included a stern-looking photo of Middleton and a clip of Markle wiping away tears, was released by Netflix a day before the Earthshot Prize ceremony.

During an appearance on GB News, Angela Levin, author of “Harry: A Biography of a Prince,” commented on the “very difficult” week for the new generation of the British royal family.

On the alleged feud between the Sussexes and the Waleses, Levin stated on the show:

“One’s got to beat the other one, and I think that it looks really upsetting that it should come to this. I’m sure that Harry and Meghan are very jealous, particularly of Catherine, because she looks stunning in anything she wears. If you saw her last night in this green dress, and going along with feeling that it’s looking after the planet, she had rented it.”

Middleton channeled Princess Diana for Friday night’s awards ceremony, wearing an off-the-shoulder Solace London “Sabina” dress rented from Hurr and her late mother-in-iconic law’s emerald-and-diamond choker necklace.

Levin claimed:

“She looks stunning in it, and you think, well done, whereas the American doesn’t quite get it right. … Dresses are not the important part of it, but I think Meghan’s always got to win. Whatever she’s doing, she’s got to win.”

The royal biographer claimed that the timing of the release of Prince Harry and Markle’s Netflix promo was a sign of “jealousy” and a “vicious” move.

According to CNN, it’s “an unwritten rule that working royals don’t interfere with one another’s trips.” However, the outlet pointed out that because Prince Harry is no longer a working member of the British royal family, he is not required to follow those rules. It’s also unclear whether the Sussexes had any say in when the Netflix trailer was released.

“Why did you want to make this documentary?” asks docuseries director Liz Garbus in the 50-second trailer for “Harry & Meghan,” which was released Thursday.

Prince Harry responded in the clip:

“No one knows what’s happening behind closed doors. I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”

Following the release of a slew of romantic photos of the couple as well as images from their time as working members of the royal family, Markle asked in the trailer:

“When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the six-episode project will include “commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press.”

The press release stated:

“The series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.”

“Harry & Meghan” is expected to debut on Netflix on Thursday.
