One of Queen Elizabeth II’s final wishes was to reunite people, demonstrating the late monarch’s unrivaled love and care for all.

Buckingham Palace served the state funeral details to The Telegraph ahead of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. It stated that the event would be a “fitting tribute to an extraordinary reign,” with the public joining royal family members, heads of state, and the military to unite people worldwide.

The Earl Marshal stated:

“It is our aim and belief that the state funeral and events of the next few days will unite people across the globe and resonate with people of all faiths, whilst fulfilling Her Majesty and her family’s wishes to pay a fitting tribute to an extraordinary reign.”

The State Funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. local time on Monday. There will be processions and services at Westminster Abbey and St George’s Chapel in Windsor. Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered in a private ceremony before her burial.

When Buckingham Palace allowed the public to view Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin on Thursday, the public sensed her love. The line stretched for about five miles, with royal fans waiting for 8.5 hours.

Prince William, who has since been given the title of Prince of Wales, addressed the crowd again during the walkabout on Thursday. He revealed that seeing the people who came to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II reminded him of the event held after Princess Diana’s death in 1997.

He addressed the crowd outside Sandringham House, holding back tears as he described how difficult the procession was for him because it reminded him of his mother’s funeral.

The now-first reserve to the throne and Prince Harry followed in their father’s footsteps 25 years ago, when they were only 15 and 12, respectively. They walked from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey at the time to accompany Princess Diana to her final resting place.

On Monday, Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest. CNN announced a two-minute nationwide silence before the state funeral service.
