Following the fallout from his plea deal in the RICO YSL case, Lil Durk appears to be slamming his former collaborator Gunna.

In a stunning turn of events in December 2022, has pleaded guilty to his crimes but maintained his innocence in the said deeds. He and 27 other Young Slime Life Records associates were charged in a massive grand jury indictment that resulted in their arrest in May 2022.

Durk, Gunna’s former collaborator, recently took to Instagram to share the most recent snippet of his upcoming song.

He raps:

“What happened to Virgil? He probably gon’ tell. I let him go because Timo ain’t selling. Thank 7 and Booka, I’m bragging on Melvin. When lil boo and them mad, it ain’t nothing you can tell them. I can tell you what I did for the streets. You got the paperwork, did it and reached. I got on Clubhouse and got in the beef.”

Interestingly, Lil Durk made a reference to his song with Gunna in the new song, with some fans interpreting it as a dig at Gunna. Gunna entered an Alford plea or a best-interest plea deal and pleaded guilty to the charges. In exchange for a reduced sentence, he pleaded guilty to the charges. Since then, the hip-hop community has urged him to snitch on Young Thug in exchange for his freedom. However, in a lengthy statement released days after his release, Gunna refuted the allegations.

Gunna explained:

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”

Aside from Lil Durk, some keen observers have noticed that Lil Baby and Meek Mill appear to have unfollowed Gunna on Instagram. Prior to their split, Lil Baby and Gunna were frequent collaborators, working on songs like “Heatin Up,” “Chanel (Go Get It),” and “25K Jacket.”

Meanwhile, Gunna posted his first photo out of jail in an all-black outfit in what appeared to be his posh living room in a recent Instagram comeback photo last week.
