Kelly Clarkson moving show to New York due to terrifying reason: ‘She feels unsafe’

Kelly Clarkson may be relocating to New York City for a terrifying reason.

According to Variety, The Kelly Clarkson Show may relocate to the east coast, including New Jersey and Connecticut.

The midday show was renewed in 2025, and it has been recorded in Universal Studios in Los Angeles since then, with its debut in 2019.

It was renewed for a sixth season and is currently in its fourth. The show will finish its current season on the Universal property before making a dramatic move to begin a fifth season next autumn.

However, it has been widely reported that the “Since U Been Gone” hitmaker had a terrifying stalker scenario, which may have influenced her decision to leave California and relocate to New York.

According to reports, a 56-year-old woman has been following Kelly and has violated a court-issued restraining order requiring her to stay 100 yards away from her home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles.

After CCTV footage purportedly captured the stalker in an SUV slowly driving past four times, the Emmy Award-winning anchor wants to leave Hollywood. The relocation was made to avoid the stalker.

According to a Radar Online source, the mother of two started the chat because the stalker kept returning to her house. River, 8, and Remington, 6, are her two children, and they always come first.

The insider further said:

“She feels unsafe with a stalker on the loose and is having sleepless nights over her children’s safety, too. She has temporarily fled the property and is staying in a secret location.”

Following 18 visits to the “American Idol” alum’s home, a court issued the lady an order of protection last month. The stalker had left unwanted gifts at her door.

Unfortunately, Kelly is not the only one who has had a trespasser enter her home.

Another stalker obtained a temporary restraining order against a man who showed up at Kelly’s house three times without permission.

He allegedly made contact with Kelly by peering through her fence and photographing a vehicle in which her children were traveling.

According to the source, the Los Angeles Police Department is working hard to keep the “Stronger” singer safe and has been routinely inspecting her home.

However, violence has become common in Hollywood’s celebrity homes, and locals are being robbed on the streets.

Although Kelly Clarkson apparently despises Los Angeles traffic and finds “people” to be “flaky,” the move could be beneficial to her.

She allegedly believes that raising her children in New York would be more advantageous and feasible.
