Fans have been waiting for Chloe Bailey’s debut album “In Pieces” to be released for months, as she has constantly been promoting it on social media and in interviews. However, a week after its release, fans were disappointed by the album’s low sales; how did the R&B star react?

According to Vibe, social media users shared their thoughts on the album, with many unable to believe that Beyoncé’s signee only sold a few thousand units of her latest project.

With only 10,000 units sold, the record, which features a collaboration with Chris Brown, debuted at number 119 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Fans quickly defended the singer over her low album sales, with one user noting that she didn’t release the record for chart purposes but for her creative purposes.

One wrote:

“Y’all don’t realise that she made this album for the arts and not for the charts… Like leave sister alone!… The problem is y’all are so unwilling to let artists grow. Y’all expect them to be getting #1 hits and #1 albums straight out the gate,”

Chloe Bailey took to her official Twitter account to react to the release of her album sales.

She wrote along with a burning heart emoji:

“in pieces was about letting go & trusting myself. i’ve enjoyed every moment of it and i love everyone who listened to it. tour starts tomorrow in chicago and im so ready to perform these songs for yall,”

In other news, the half of Chloe x Halle is planning a tour across the United States and Canada, with her first stop at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, on April 11, 2023.
