Takeoff’s death affected not only his fans and family members but also the collaborators he had worked with in recent years. Calvin Harris most recently performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where he made a big move for his late pal.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, the Scottish record producer took the stage on Sunday evening to pay tribute to Migos rapper Offset by performing a new version of “Slide.”

The original track was released on his album “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1” and featured Offset, Quavo, and Frank Ocean.

According to the outlet, Harris, who has a new song with Ellie Goulding called “Miracle,” has added Takeoff’s verse from their previous collaboration song “Holiday,” which was also included on the 2017 album.

It excited fans because it was the first time listeners heard all members of Migos on the hit single, as Takeoff was not originally a part of it.

The original track was successful when it was released, reaching number 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

“Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1” includes songs by Katy Perry, Pharrell, Ariana Grande, Future, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and others.

Calvin Harris released “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2” last year, featuring Justin Timberlake, Halsey, Normani, Tinashe, Dua Lipa, and many more.

The legendary DJ was not the only one to pay tribute to the late rapper recently, as his cousin, Offset, made a bold move by getting a tattoo of the late rapper on his back.

According to reports, Cardi B’s husband posted a photo of his back on Instagram, showing an intricately designed tattoo of the rapper’s face and upper body.

The portrait also included a large halo on the back of his head and a space-themed background depicting Saturn and the galaxy.

“Love you 4L & after,” the musician wrote in the caption, alongside a rocket ship, white heart, and white dove emojis.
