Fans were pleasantly surprised when Zendaya, who hadn’t performed on stage in over seven years, joined Labrinth during Coachella Weekend 2.
The two performed his Emmy-nominated song “All Of Us” from HBO’s “Euphoria,” as well as “I’m Tired.”
Zendaya, 26, looked stunning in a baby-pink gown with a corset bodice and frilly skirt.
For contrast, the look was completed with a classic white T-shirt, silver hoop earrings, a matching ring, and thigh-high black boots.
The award-winning actress stated on her Instagram Stories:
“I cannot express my gratitude enough for this magical night. Thank you for my brother Labrinth for inviting me and giving me the most beautiful safe space to be on stage again.”
She said:
“And to the crowd tonight… wow. My heart is so full. I can’t thank you enough for the love I received tonight, made all my nerves melt away. I’m so grateful.”
While Zendaya is best known for acting, she has also pursued a music career.
She debuted her music career in 2011 with the release of “Swag It Out” on her official YouTube channel. In 2013, she released her debut single, “Replay,” the same year, she released “Zendaya,” which was a commercial success, reaching the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.
“Replay” was also certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
After the success of “Replay,” Zendaya released her self-titled debut album in 2013.
Her tour was also over by 2015.
Despite her success in the music industry, Zendaya confirmed last year that she had taken a break from music and explained “a number of reasons” for doing so. Nonetheless, she still has a deep appreciation for music.
Though her focus recently shifted to film and television, fans have anticipated Zendaya’s return to the stage.
In recent years, the singer-actress has prioritized acting, appearing in films such as “Spider-Man,” “Dune,” “Malcolm and Marie,” and many others.
