Rihanna was not injured after a woman allegedly fired multiple rounds at her Beverly Hills home on Sunday while the singer was inside the property, according to RadarOnline and the Los Angeles Police Department. Police said the suspect, a 30 year old woman, was later taken into custody and that nobody was hurt.
For context, the case moved quickly from celebrity alarm to police investigation within hours. RadarOnline, citing LAPD information and radio traffic heard by the Los Angeles Times, reported that at least 10 shots were fired from a white Tesla before the driver fled. That made the story less about gossip and more about a plainly serious public safety failure outside one of the most private homes in one of Los Angeles’s most guarded celebrity enclaves.
Rihanna Was Home When The Shooting Happened
The most important fact is also the simplest one. Rihanna was home and she was not hurt. According to the report, the gunfire was directed at the property rather than at anyone outside on the street, and officers later found damage to a gate at the home and to an RV parked in the driveway.
That detail matters because it strips away the tabloid haze that can settle around any story involving a global star. This was not a vague disturbance or an overblown scare. Police said shots were fired at the address. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias told reporters that when officers stopped the suspect and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and found ‘an assault rifle and seven casings’.
The route to the arrest was described with the kind of specificity that usually suggests officers were moving fast and piecing the picture together in real time. The suspect was described over police radio as a woman with braids wearing a cream blouse, and her white Tesla was said to be dirty along the bottom. A police helicopter then spotted the vehicle in a Sherman Oaks parking lot, where the woman was arrested.
There are still pieces missing. The motive was unclear in the original report and police had not publicly explained any connection, if there was one, between the suspect and Rihanna. A source close to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky told RadarOnline that the couple ‘don’t know much’ and had been left in the dark about what happened. That quote is revealing in a bleak sort of way. Even in a house built to keep the outside world out, there are moments when events crash straight through the illusion of control.
The Rihanna Shooting Raises Harder Questions
The property itself is the sort of place designed to deter intrusion. RadarOnline reported that Rihanna bought the home in 2021 and described it as a five bedroom, seven bathroom house on a 21,958 square foot lot with tall hedges and substantial privacy from the street. The same report said it sits on a secluded cul de sac in a celebrity heavy area with neighbours including Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey and Madonna.
Yet privacy is not the same thing as safety. That is the uncomfortable truth threaded through the story. A person in a car was able to fire repeated shots at a home occupied by one of the most recognisable women in the world, then drive away before being tracked down. CBS Los Angeles similarly reported that a woman parked outside the house, fired shots and sped off before officers located her vehicle about eight miles away and arrested her.
There is a grim echo here too. Back in 2018, a man broke into Rihanna’s Hollywood Hills home and remained inside for about 12 hours before he was discovered, according to the later section of the RadarOnline report. He later pleaded no contest to stalking, the report said. Different case, different threat, same jarring theme. Fame buys walls, cameras and gates, but it does not always buy distance from obsession.
The investigation is now being handled by the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division, according to police information cited in the report. Beyond that, several key facts still sit in the category of not fully confirmed, including the suspect’s motive and whether the shooting was specifically intended to target Rihanna herself. What can be said with confidence is narrower and more chilling. Shots were fired, Rihanna was inside, no one was injured, and the bullet holes left behind were real.
